A new direction for the Theo Moorman weaving technique uses commercial fabric with the added inlay of yarns to create a design over strips of fabric. Joyce Harter developed this technique. With this new use for fabric, the quilt store may become your favorite weaving supplier!
To weave this pillow in the Multi-Layered Inlay technique you need:
a 4 shaft loom, at least 16"wide
Ability to warp the loom and do plain weave
This kit contains:
Warp for a 14” x 14” pillow plus enough for sampling or a second pillow
Ground weft
Pattern inlay yarn
Commercial fabric for inlay and pillow back
Full-scale designs to use for pattern inlay
Pellon for cartoon
Directions for warping and weaving
