Love weaving cloth but not the sewing? This unlined vest requires minimal sewing for stylish results. This garment was designed to be used with handwoven fabric but can also be used with commercial fabrics. Directions for handwoven and commercial fabric are included.

Handwoven fabric options:

--Theo Moorman technique with inlaid design motifs
--Twill structure without design motifs
--Twill structure with design motifs stiched, printed, pieced
--Any other woven structure that will work for clothing without design motifs
--Any other woven structure that will work for clothing with design motifs stiched, printed, pieced

Commercial fabric options:

--Pieced to achieve design motifs
--Embroidery or bead embellishment to achieve design motifs
--Stamped, printed, stenciled to achieve design motifs

Don't like to cut your handwoven fabric? This pattern will cure you! This unlined garment is designed to be made with a combination of handwoven and commercial fabric panels. Cut and sew the contrasting panels into a loose fitting jacket that feels great to wear.

Suggested Fabrics:

--Handwoven: textured plain weave, plain weave, twills, Theo Moorman technique, many different four and eight shaft pattern weaves. Another variation is to use two different handwoven fabrics of contrasting structure or color.

--Commercial: cotton quilt fabric, Guatamalan ikat, Ultrasuede, brocade, linen microfibers. Another variation is to use all commercial fabric, one textured fabric in combination with a print fabric.
